This policy applies to venue operators ("Venue Owners") who subscribe to Table Mouse and to guests ("Guests") who make reservations through the platform.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address and password when Venue Owners create an account
  • Venue details: Business name, address, phone number, operating hours, floor plans, and service configuration
  • Guest reservation data: Name, email, phone number, party size, date and time preferences, dietary needs, allergies, special occasion notes, and add-on selections
  • Payment information: Processed securely through Square — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers
  • Communications: Messages sent through our contact form or email correspondence with our team

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken within the platform, and interaction patterns
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device type
  • Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs
  • Cookies: Session cookies for authentication and preferences (see Section 7)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process reservations and facilitate communication between venues and guests
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices via email and SMS
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing
  • Generate analytics and reports for Venue Owners (reservation trends, no-show rates, etc.)
  • Build and maintain guest profiles with visit history, dietary preferences, and tags
  • Send weekly email digest reports to venue staff
  • Improve the Service based on usage patterns and feedback
  • Respond to support inquiries and provide customer service
  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions and prevent misuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

With Venue Owners

When a Guest makes a reservation, their booking details (name, contact information, party size, dietary needs, and special requests) are shared with the relevant Venue Owner to fulfill the reservation.

With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers to operate the Service:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and authentication
  • Vercel: Application hosting and delivery
  • Square: Payment processing for deposits and subscriptions
  • SMS providers: Delivery of text message reminders and notifications

These providers only access information necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Venue Owners may delete individual guest records at any time from within the platform.

Upon account termination, we retain data for up to 30 days to allow for data export requests. After that period, we delete or anonymize your data, except where retention is required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Encryption of data at rest in our database
  • Row-level security policies to ensure venues can only access their own data
  • Secure password hashing through our authentication provider
  • Regular security reviews and updates

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. SMS Communications

Table Mouse sends SMS messages on behalf of Venue Owners for reservation reminders and notifications. By providing a phone number during the booking process, Guests consent to receiving these messages.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Square, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, and Shopify. When you use these integrations, your data may be processed by these third parties according to their own privacy policies.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
